The New Chairman of the CCRC Richard Foster has sought to answer critics of his appointment by indicating that he will be bolder in his approach to the commissions cases .
Mr Foster says he is a bolder person by nature and wants to see the commission being bolder in its approach referring cases . That where cases are borderline they should be reffered erring on the side of boldness .
These are fine words , the question is will this be more rhetoric or will we actually see a shift in the commissions stance , where often but not always there is an impression that the commission is doing everything to find a reason not to refer .

Steven Breeze's conviction has been quashed by the Full Court . This was despite an initial refusal by the Single Judge . An extensive investigation was able to deliver strong grounds which contributed to a view by the Court that the direcitons given by the Trial Judge were inadequate .
