Tony Andrews has been engaged in a long and ardeous battle to clear his name .
He was investigated as part of the Greater Manchester Police Operation Cleopatra enquiry into care homes .
Today he took a step nearer the goal of clearing his name when his application for permission to appeal out of time was strongly supported by the single judge .
We can all look forward to Tony's case building on the principles which Jordans and others have now helped develop in these cases early in the new year .

Steven Breeze's conviction has been quashed by the Full Court . This was despite an initial refusal by the Single Judge . An extensive investigation was able to deliver strong grounds which contributed to a view by the Court that the direcitons given by the Trial Judge were inadequate .
